Carnival Floats

Carnival Floats 2018

Anyone can enter a float in the Bishops Castle Carnival. The theme for the floats at this years carnival will be Rule Britannia.  It is the 121st Anniversary of the Carnival so it would be good to see floats depicting all things British.  The anniversary of the First World War is close to everyone’s hearts so if you would like to commemorate the war that would be very welcome.  Other ideas to help with your planning include the NHS, British companies, the Monarchy, the countryside and its traditions, British Farming, the emergency services, the suffragettes, or even the good old British Weather!  There are 3 categories – Topical, Comical and Fancy.

All floats must be in position on Brampton Road, Bishops Castle (adjacent to the Church) by 12 noon latest, Sunday 1st July. Judging will start promptly at 12 noon, so those not in place at that time could lose out.

Categories for this years floats are as follows;
